Winter snacks – Delicious Cake in a Mug recipes

We can’t deny that we all enjoy a delicious snack now and then whether it be some chocolate chip cookies, chocolate covered strawberries or even some cake.

Today I have two cake in a mug recipes to share with you, and one of them is Vegan!

Cake in a Mug is a wonderful way to create a quick, but delicious, warm snack that is perfect for this cold Autumn/Winter weather. I will often make one of these when I’m getting ready to settle down at night on a weekend with a book or to catch up on the show I’m currently watching.

Chocolate Chip Vanilla Cake Recipe

4 tbsp flour

2 tbsp brown sugar

1/4 tsp baking powder

Time to mix!

3 tbsp milk

1/4 tsp Vanilla essence

1/2 vegetable oil

Mix again!

Chocolate chips (add as many as you wish, but I recommend 2 1/2 tbsp)

Microwave for 1 minute

Optional: Once ready, add a dollop of Nutella, or a topping of whipped cream and some more chocolate chips.

Vegan Chocolate & Biscoff Cake Recipe

1/4 cup of plain flour

2 tbsp of caster sugar

2 tbsp of cocoa powder

1/4 tsp of baking powder

1/8 tsp salt

Mix it up!

1/4 cup of almond milk (whether it’s sweetened or unsweetened is completely up to you!)

2 tbsp vegetable oil

Mix, mix, mix!

Handful of Vegan chocolate chunks (I usually cut up a Vegan chocolate bar)

Microwave for 1 minute

Optional: Once ready add a dollop of Biscoff spread or a sprinkle of more vegan chocolate!

Enjoy!

I hope you enjoy these two delicious cake in a mug recipes, and if you give any of them a try I’d love to know which one and if you liked it!

Um, YUMMMMM. Gotta try a few of these (though may need to scale up as Christmas means people around most evenings in my house). Also, love that you include a vegan one. Don’t suppose you have any recommendations of places to look for gluten free alternatives? My sister’s recently been diagnosed and I’d hate for her to miss out.

Thank you so much! I hope you enjoy them!
My sister is Vegan so including a Vegan one was important. (:
I’d recommend checking out pinterest for a Gluten-Free one. There’s a plethora of gluten free recipes on there!
