Kiss, Marry, Kill with WhatVickyRead

I’ve decided to start this new feature on my blog as a bit of fun. I used to enjoy watching booktuber’s Kiss, Marry, Kill tags, where they would write out a collection of fictional characters and put them in a jar. They would pull three out at a time and decide which of the three they’d kiss, marry and kill. How terribly morbid, I know.

Each week I will feature a different blogger and bookworm to let us know which their choices would be and why. After all, who doesn’t love the pressure of choosing the fates of their favourite fictional characters?

Below you can see my magical plastic cup of fictional characters (unfortunately I had no aesthetically pleasing mason jars at hand) which I will choose twelve sets of three characters out of for every feature. This cup has a mix of female and male characters, and of course, some villains as well.

The first blogger to take part in this feature is the lovely Vicky from WhatVickyRead who is a wonderful friend of mine and who was more than ready to decide what characters she would kiss, marry and kill. I could think of no one better to start off this new feature!

Thank you so much for being the first featured blogger for my Kiss, Marry and Kill posts. I hope you’re ready to decide the fate of some of your favourite fictional characters and villains!

Let’s get started!

1) Adam Parrish (The Raven Cycle), Kaz Brekker (Six of Crows), Aragorn (LotR)?

Kiss: Aragorn

Marry: Kaz Brekker

Kill: Adam Parrish

I’d marry Kaz Brekker because although he seems like a tough nut to crack, I think he’s very nice deep, deep down. And he cares a lot for his friends. I would kill Adam Parrish because I know he’s been through a lot of stuff but I also just don’t like him as much as the other two options. So that leaves Aragorn to kiss!

2) Amarantha (ACOTAR), Merry Brandybuck (LotR), Cress Darnel (The Lunar Chronicles)?

Kiss: Merry Brandybuck

Marry: Cress Darnell

Kill: Amarantha

I’m killing Amarantha because of obvious reasons (if you’ve read ACOTAR), marrying Cress because she’s lovely and kissing Merry because he’s the only one left!

3) Holland Vosijk (ADSOM), Simon Lewis (The Mortal Instruments), President Snow (The Hunger Games)?

Kiss: Holland Vosjik

Marry: Simon Lewis

Kill: President Snow

I absolutely hate President Snow so he is definitely kill. I’ve only read the first ADSOM book (yes, I know I suck) so I’d kiss Holland but I don’t like him. I’d marry Simon just because he’d be pretty easy to get along with!

4) Winter Hayle (The Lunar Chronicles), Elias Veturias (Ember in the Ashes), Alucard Emery (ADSOM)?

Kiss: Winter Hayle

Marry: Elias Veturias

Kill: Alucard Emery

Relating back to the last one, I don’t really know that much about Alucard so don’t really care for him. I’d marry Elias over Winter just because although I really like Winter, I could feel that she may get on my nerves at times!

5) Kenji Kishimoto (Shatter Me), Gandalf (LotR), Effie (The Hunger Games)?

Kiss: Gandalf

Marry: Kenji

Kill: Effie

God this is a little messed up cause Gandalf is an old wizard but I’d kill Effie because in her fandom, it wouldn’t matter if she died that much. Gandalf is pretty cool in LoTR so I’d have to kiss him for the greater good of letting him survive. I’d marry Kenji because he seems like he would make me laugh!

6) Scarlet Benoit (The Lunar Chronicles), Nikolai Lantsov (Grisha Trilogy), Harry Potter?

Kiss: Nikolai Lantsov

Marry: Harry Potter

Kill: Scarlet Benoit

These are getting harder to choose from now as I don’t want to kill any of them! I chose to kiss Nikolai because it’s Nikolai. I chose to marry Harry (ha, that rhymes) because that would probably mean I’m a witch, and I chose to kill Scarlet because she was left after those two choices!

7) Dante (Caraval), Haymitch (The Hunger Games), Audrey Rose Wadsworth (Stalking Jack the Ripper)?

Kiss: Audrey Rose Wadsworth

Marry: Dante

Kill: Haymitch

Although I like Haymitch, I prefer the two other characters so he just had to go, sorry man. I would marry Dante, obviously, so that left Audrey Rose!

8) Karou (Daughter of Smoke and Bone), Sevro Au Barca (Red Rising), Rowan Whitehorn (Throne of Glass)?

Kiss: Rowan Whitethorn

Marry: Sevro Au Barca

Kill: Karou

Oops sorry Karou. I picked Rowan to kiss because why not? I picked Sevro to marry as he seems quite loyal but also a bit unpredictable!

9) Nesta Archeron (ACOTAR), The Darkling (The Grisha trilogy), Dorian Havilliard (Throne of Glass)?

Kiss: The Darkling

Marry: Dorian Haviliard

Kill: Nesta Archeron

This was a hard choice because I couldn’t choose who to kill out of Nesta and The Darkling. Marrying Dorian was an obvious choice plus it would mean I’d be a Queen. I would kill Nesta because she’s just rude and annoying. I would kiss the Darkling because I do think he was a little misunderstood but mostly because I killed Nesta so he was the only one left to kiss!

10) Will Herondale (The Infernal Devices), Peeta Mellark (The Hunger Games), Nina Zenik (Six of Crows)?

Kiss: Nina Zenik

Marry: Peeta Mellark

Kill: Will Herondale

I would kill Will Herondale because I haven’t read the Infernal Devices yet so I don’t care about him. I would kiss Nina Zenik but also make her my best friend because then we could go and eat sweet food together. I would marry Peeta because he’s sweet and (probably) makes amazing bread.

11) Maven Calore (Red Queen), Cassian (ACOMAF), Magnus Bane (The Mortal Instruments)?

Kiss: Magnus Bane

Marry: Cassian

Kill: Maven Calore

I would kill Maven as I’m not a fan of him (fun fact: autocorrect changed his name to Calorie). I would kiss Magnus Bane and then I would marry Cassian because he’s pretty cool and I like his character!

12) Annabeth Chase (Percy Jackson), Warden (The Bone Season), Ronan Lynch (The Raven Cycle)?

Kiss: Warden

Marry: Ronan Lynch

Kill: Annabeth Chase

I’m killing Annabeth because I’m not that fussed about her. Sorry, Annabeth! I’m kissing Warden because why not? And I’m marrying Ronan because that means I get to be part of the Raven Boys and be friends with Blue but also because Ronan is pretty cool!
