Hello friends! It’s time to ask another book blogger to decide the fate of some fictional characters!
Just in case you missed the last post, I’ve recently decided to start this new feature on my blog as a bit of fun. I used to enjoy watching booktuber’s Kiss, Marry, Kill tags, where they would write out a collection of fictional characters and put them in a jar. They would pull three out at a time and decide which of the three they’d kiss, marry and kill. How terribly morbid!
Each week I will feature a different blogger/bookworm to let us know what their choices would be and why. After all, who doesn’t love the pressure of choosing the fates of their favourite fictional characters?
Last time, WhatVickyRead was featured and she definitely had to make some tough decisions. You can read that post here.
This week, the lovely Beth from BooksNest will be taking part, and we’ll get to see which fictional characters she would choose to kiss, marry or kill. *insert evil laugh here*
Below you can see my magical plastic cup of fictional characters (unfortunately I had no aesthetically pleasing mason jars at hand) which I will choose twelve sets of three characters out of for every feature. This cup has a mix of female and male characters, and of course, some villains as well.
Disclaimer: Please keep in mind that this feature is only for fun!

Without any further ado, let’s get to the fun stuff.
Hello Beth! Thank you so much for taking part! Introduce yourself, and tell us a little about your blog.
Hi, I’m Beth and I blog over at BooksNest. My blog started off as a book blog, but now it also covers my travels, life experiences and just any thoughts I want to write about. At heart though I’m a bibliophile first and a blogger second, my room is filled to the ceiling with books and I am slowly (okay quickly), growing my own personal library. I loved answering Lauren’s questions, but I do feel a bit bad about some of the characters I’ve chosen to kill.
1) Zélie Adebola (Children of Blood and Bone) Lazlo Strange (Strange the Dreamer) and Éowyn (LotR)
I’m going to kill Éowyn (sorry, I know she’s lovely, but she is kind of dull apart from the I am no man business). I’m torn between these two now, because Lazlo I think would be really lovely and we’d get on really well together, but Zélie is bad ass and very cool. I think I’ll kiss Zélie and then marry Lazlo, he’d treat me right! And also Zélie would probably make me look like the bumbling mess of a human I tend to be.
2) Nesta Archeron (ACOTAR), Wolf (The Lunar Chronicles) and Magnus Bane (The Mortal Instruments)
Okay so I like Wolf, I really do, but I’m going to have to kill him, because Nesta seems like she might be feisty and fun to kiss! Magnus seems like he’d be a lot of fun to marry, he’s kinda handy to have about the house too. I think he’d be away on business a lot as well, so I’d have lots of alone time for reading.
3) Dante (Caraval), Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles) and Sarai (Strange the Dreamer)
I’m really sorry, but I’m killing Cinder, I know she’s been through a lot, but I just don’t want to kiss or marry her, I think she could annoy me a little bit. I think I’ll kiss Dante, I wouldn’t be able to trust him if I married him. And I’ll marry Sarai, because she’s kind and sweet and awesome and from one of my favourite books.
4) Amren (ACOTAR), Nina Zenik (Six of Crows) and George Weasely (Harry Potter)
This is a tricky one, because we have two interesting women here, but I can’t kill George after all he’s been through! And then Amren is a funny one, if I marry her, is there a promise she will actually like me or is she going to try and scratch my eyes out? I’m going to kill (somehow) Amren through fear of injury, I’ll kiss George out of sympathy and I’ll marry Nina and we can have some adventures together.
5) Sirius Black (Harry Potter), Minho (Maze Runner) and Mr Darcy (Pride and Prejudice)
I have a slight issue with the age of Sirius Black here, I don’t overly want to kiss or marry him. I haven’t read or watch Pride and Prejudice, but I know about the character of Mr Darcy, but I feel like I might find him a little annoying. The Maze Runner I have only seen the first two films, but I loved Minho, so I’m going to set him aside for marriage. I think maybe then I will kill Sirius and kiss Mr Darcy.
6) Katniss Everdeen (Hunger Games), Scarlet Benoit (The Lunar Chronicles) and Lila Bard (ADSOM)
Okay straight up going to kill Katniss, sorry, she annoys me and there’s no way I could kiss or marry her, I think she’d put a downer on our life together. Then I think I’ll kiss Scarlet and marry Lila, I think Lila just wants someone to love her and be there with her on her adventures, so I’ll do that!
7) Tella Dragna (Caraval), Thomas Cresswell (Stalking Jack the Ripper) and Gale Hawthorne (Hunger Games)
I’m going to have to kill Gale, another Hunger Games no no for me, as nice as the guy is, he is not for me. Then I’m torn between Thomas and Tella because I think both would have a lovely life with me, maybe Thomas can marry me and I’ll kiss Tella. I feel like Tella would always be a little distracted by other things and I wouldn’t have her full attention, plus Thomas is lovely!
8) Azriel (ACOTAR), Saroman (LotR) and Alice (The Hazel Wood)
This is a clear cut kill for me, I’ll kill of Saroman, he would just end up building a hub for evil destruction in our garden. Then I think I will kiss Azriel and marry Alice, because, well if you’ve read the book you’ll know why. Plus I think Azriel may possibly be a little bit serious and strict for my liking to marry, but I’m sure he’d be good for a kiss!
9) Elain Archeron (ACOTAR), Aelin Galathynius (Throne of Glass) and Gandalf (LotR)
I’m marrying Gandalf! Think of the epic lines he’d come out with as we were cooking dinner. I mean sure his beard might get in the way and he’s not very sexy, but it could be a marriage founded on respect and life changing speeches. I’ll kiss Aelin, because why not. And then I’ll have to kill Elain, because she’s a bit of a drip and I don’t think she’d offer me too much.
10) Gansey (The Raven Cycle), Dorian Havilliard (Throne of Glass) and Ianthe (ACOTAR)
Ianthe causes nothing but trouble so she can be killed, I think I’d help a lot of people out there too. Then I think I’ll kiss Dorian and marry Gansey, I think Gansey has a cheeky way about him that would woo me more than Dorian could. Plus I’d like to help him on his crazy searches and meet his friends.
11) Manon Blackbeak (Throne of Glass), Dumbledore (Harry Potter) and Finnick Odair (Hunger Games)
I love me some Finnick so I will marry him, I think he’d be lovely and doting and also a tiny bit bad ass when required. I really don’t want to kiss Dumbledore, so I think I’ll have to kill him in favour of Manon. I’m just hoping she doesn’t try to kill me at my attempted kiss.
12) Frodo Baggins (LotR), Marco Alisdair (The Night Circus) and Chaol Westfall (Throne of Glass)
Okay this one is tough because really I’d like to kill Frodo and Chaol, both really annoy me. But if I have to keep one of them I think it’d be Chaol, the only thing Frodo could offer me is a pained face whenever he stubs his toe. So I’ll kiss Chaol and then marry Marco, but I really hope he makes some amazing Night Circus worth displays for me!
Thank you so much to Beth for making these tough choices! I definitely loved her train of thought throughout the whole feature. Some of the answers had my jaw dropping! But, I also agree with quite a lot of them too. Especially the choice for Gandalf, I bet he has some wonderful wisdom to share during afternoon tea.
I’d love to continue doing this feature, so if there’s any bloggers, bookstagrammers or booktubers you’d like to see participate, comment them below and I will check them out.

Loved taking part in this, so much fun answering the questions. I apologise to all the fictional characters I mentally killed.
I’m still in shock over some of your answers! :O
